Title:
A VIEW TO A KIR.
The killer cell immunoglobulin-like receptor KIR3DL2 licenses the differentiation of pathogenic T cells

As part of the "Program for Advancing Strategic International Networks to Accelerate the Circulation of Talented Researchers", Dr. Simon Kollnberger (Cardiff University Infection and Immunology Institute) gave us a valuable lecture entitled "A VIEW TO A KIR. The killer cell immunoglobulin-like receptor KIR3DL2 licenses the differentiation of pathogenic T cells". HLA-B27, a ligand of KIR3DL2, is resistant to HIV infection, while it showed strong susceptibility to autoimmune diseases such as ankylosing spondylitis. Dr. Kollnberger talked about the latest findings on the immune regulation by KIR3DL2, and then, we all had much active discussion about its most advanced contents. It was a very meaningful seminar with a number of participants including undergraduate and graduate students.
